Green islands, sandy beaches, and mountain landscapes

Off the west coast of Greece on the Ionian Islands, Greece shows its greenest side. Untouched nature, the clear blue, shimmering Ionian Sea, and centuries of Venetian influence dominate the Ionian Islands archipelago. This tour starts on Corfu, the dream island of the unforgettable Austrian empress Sissi, and leads to spectacular regions little known outside of Greece. By Bike & Boat, we discover the famous island of Ithaca, said to have been the home of Odysseus, the unforgettable green bird sanctuary island of Lefkas, and explore the fantastic mountain world of Cephalonia and the beautiful olive groves that cover the small island of Paxos. Enjoy your week in absolute comfort on board the wooden motor yacht and let yourself be spoilt by the excellent Greek hospitality and cuisine!

New from 2025: On this trip, we offer you the option of either joining your guides on the cycle tours or completing the cycle routes individually at your own pace using the free RideWithGPS route app for your smartphone as well as GPS tracks and maps.

Day 1: Corfu Town – Embarkation

Individual arrival and subsequent transfer to the ship. Check-in is available on the Panagiota, your ship and home for the week, starting at 2 pm. Dinner is served on board. Overnight stay in Corfu town.

    Day 2: Corfu Island – Sivota – Parga – Lefkas Island – 18 miles / 28 km

In the morning, we’ll cross over to Sivota, on the mainland. Our first cycle tour leads us to Parga, found below a Venetian fortress. The boat awaits us in Parga to take us on a cruise to the town of Nidri on Lefkas Island. En route, we pass a swing-bridge which connects Lefkas with the Greek mainland. You’ll spend the night in the lively harbour of Nidri.

    Day 3: Lefkas Island – 25 miles / 39 km

Today, first we’ll travel from Nidri to a nearby waterfall. If you’re lucky, it will have enough water for a refreshing morning swim. Next, we’ll cycle along quiet roads through the mountains past Sivros to the harbour in Vasiliki. We anchor at Porto Katsiki, one of the most famous beaches in Greece. Then the ship brings us to Fiskardo on Cephalonia, where we’ll spend the night. This harbor town enchants visitors with its colorful houses, numerous cafés and bars along the picturesque promenade.

    Day 4: Cephalonia Island – 25 miles / 39 km

Day 4’s cycle tour leads us from Fiskardo to an impressive mountain pass on the western side of the island. We’ll have amazing views, a panorama down to Myrtos beach, its white pebbles and electrifyingly clear water. After a refreshing break, we continue cycling. We may visit the Melissani limestone caves featuring stalactites and stalagmites, which can be viewed from row boats. Later in the afternoon, we’ll cruise to Vathy on Ithaca Island.

    Day 5: Ithaca Island – 13 – 17 miles / 20 – 28 km

Today, the famous island of Ithaca awaits us, the homeland of Odysseus. It’s hilly and features a beautiful landscape. Gnarled olive trees, crystal clear water, and friendly locals – time seems to stand still away from the busy tourist routes. You’ll have to decide if you’re up for a steep climb and a bit of a challenge, or a more leisurely ride. From Frikes the Panagiota takes us to the small island of Meganisi.

Day 6: Islands of Meganisi and Paxos – 10 miles / 17 km

Meganisi has got lots of charm, and we’ll spend the morning exploring it by bicycle. There are three villages on our itinerary today, showing us the traditional island life of Greece. Spartochori beach is great for a swim and a coffee break, and in the afternoon, we’ll sail to Paxos Island, featuring a unique natural harbor, Gaios. We can spend the evening in one of the cozy taverns of Gaios.

Day 7: Islands of Paxos and Corfu – 14 miles / 23 km

We’ve saved the smallest of the seven Ionian Islands for last; Paxos is a grove of olive trees, giving the island its wonderful silver-green color. We circle the island, have our last swim in the Mediterranean on one of the many beaches and after lunch, we travel back to Corfu. Dinner is served on board, our last evening together in a cozy atmosphere with crew and tour guides.

Day 8: Corfu town – Disembarkation – End of trip or extension

After breakfast, check out and an individual return home or extended stay in Greece.

You may also opt for a Gravel- or a Road- (cyclocross-) Bike instead of an E-Bike.
    • Istria Hilights Tour or Special MTB Tour

The MTB / E-MTB & Boat tour takes place parallel to our Highlights Istria Regular-Bike & Boat Tour on the same boat. This is perfect for travelers who wish to spend their holiday together, but do not share the same riding preference.
Meaning, you may opt for an MTB / E-MTB tour or opt for a similar itinerary, on the same boat, but riding in a separate group, a hybrid or E-Bike. See under “2025” for dates and prices.
The Mountain Bikers will follow their guide and itinerary.
The itinerary of these two tours slightly differs from the one described here under (Deluxe). For further information, please request the itinerary from us.
    • Intro

The largest peninsula in Croatia offers an incredible backdrop for our e-bike tour. Situated between the Kvarner Bay and the Gulf of Trieste, Istria is an oasis of superlatives. The 500m long coastline offers countless picture-perfect beaches and fascinating historical harbor towns such as Pula, Poreč and Rovinj. The fertile hinterlands, in contrast, are characterized by their medieval hilltop villages and colorful vineyards, and the silver-green olive groves. Much like the landscapes typical of Tuscany.

In addition, Istria is graced with over 2300 hours of sun each year, ensuring with great certainty that your visit will be a sunny one. The region has also made itself a name for its culinary delights: home to some of the world’s best truffles, olive oil and wine. Discover the vast diversity of this delightful region on board your deluxe ship, your floating accommodation for the week, and a reliable e-bike as your means of transport on land.

    • Day 1: Omisalj (embarkation) – Cres

Individual arrival in Omišalj, a charming pirate’s nest on the island of Krk. If you decide to arrive by car, we can gladly organize a secure parking space for your car for the week. If you are arriving from Zagreb, we can also arrange a transfer for you to the harbor of Omišalj. Check-in on board is possible from around 2 pm. Once we have made ourselves comfortable in our cabins, we enjoy the first crossing to Cres. If the weather is good, we stop for a swim in a beautiful bay and you can take a dip in the Adriatic Sea. Our destination is the island capital of the same name, where we spend the night. The Venetian-influenced old town of Cres, with its beautiful alleys and many churches, entices you to take an extensive evening stroll.

    • Day 2: Cres – Pula – 17 miles/28 km

In the morning, we enjoy our breakfast on board with a pleasant morning cruise to Pula. In the afternoon, we explore some picturesque places in and around Pula. Via Galižana, we go to Vodnjan and further through the fishing village Fažana before coming back to Pula, where we can take part in an inspiring guided city tour before enjoying our evening exploring the town further at our leisure. The night is spent in Pula.

    • Day 3: Pula – Vrsar – Poreč 25 miles/40km

In the morning, we enjoy our breakfast on board with another pleasant morning cruise this time to Vrsar. It is in Vrsar that the heartbreaker Casanova is believed to have sought temporary refuge from the husbands of his lovers. From here we cycle along the Limski Canal to Kloštar in the rural hinterland to our destination of Poreč. The town has a lively vibe with its long promenade and shopping streets. A visit to the famous Euphrasius Basilica with its magnificent early Christian mosaics is worth a visit and there is also plenty of time to go for a swim and relax in the afternoon. The night is spent in Poreč.

    • Day 4: Poreč – Novigrad – Rovinj – 36 miles / 59 km

In the morning, we follow the “Parenzana”, an abandoned railroad line, which leads us to the famous artists’ village of Grožnjan. The picturesque artists’ village is a medieval jewel in the Istrian hinterland. It awaits us with romantic alleys, flower-filled squares and diverse galleries that have made their home in old natural stone houses. In the afternoon, we bike through rural Istria via Buje to Novigrad, where we can enjoy the evening and spend the night.
    • Day 5: Rovinj – 12 mi/20 km

In the morning, the boat takes us to Rovinj, the starting point of today’s cycle tour. You leave the town and follow an old railroad line to the Lim Canal. Near the town, the vast green wilderness of the local park is the perfect backdrop for an optional extension to the cycle tour past picturesque bays where you can stop for a refreshing swim. After a pleasant morning on your bikes and on the beach, you return to the ship and in the afternoon, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you have plenty of time to discover the secrets of the town of Rovinj, often called the “Pearl of Istria”.

    • Day 6: Rovinj – Fazana – Rabac – 22 miles / 37 km

Our morning bike ride takes us near the coast, mostly on natural forest paths to Fažana, with its quaint little harbor and promenade lined with colorful houses. We board the boat and enjoy a cruise along the coast to Rabac. Here, located on a picturesque bay on the east coast of Istria, we can enjoy gorgeous white pebble beaches, crystal clear waters and a beautiful harbor. Not to be missed is an evening cocktail in a local bar.

    • Day 7: Rabac – Njivice – Omišalj – 26 mi/43 km

In the early morning, we cross to the island of Krk, where a final cycling stage awaits us. The route will lead us from Njivice to Omišalj. The largest island in Croatia and home of the delicious Zlahtina white wine impresses with its diverse landscapes. Don’t miss the opportunity to cover yourself in the mineral-rich mud in the bay of Soline – it will not only leave you looking ten years younger, but also make for a wonderful holiday memory! Back in the harbor of Omišalj, our boat awaits us with a delicious last evening meal on board, which can be spent in great cheer in the company of fellow travelers, the crew, and guides.
    • Day 8: Omisalj (Disembarkation) – End of tour or extension

Breakfast. Disembarkation until 9 am and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.

Helmets are mandatory on our bike tours. It is advised to bring your own, well-fitted helmet with you, as our rental helmets are limited (reservation required).
      Istria Deluxe:
Requirements E-Bike Level 1: Exclusive e-bike tours for riders with a good fitness level. The tours, including the meters of elevation, can be ridden comfortably by e-bike (12 – 38 mi. / 20 – 60 km and 656 – 3280 ft. / 200 – 1000 m of elevation gain per day).
All bike tours require a healthy basic level of fitness from the participants and prior experience in bike riding. Please take note that around 30% of the tours take place on natural paths and gravel roads. The described tours are primarily designed as fully guided e-bike tours. If you wish to cycle alone, please talk with your tour guide on site about the options available.
Guided group pace: On our e-bike tour programs, the riding pace is determined by the cyclists on e-bikes. Guests who are taking part in these tours on a gravel bike should have the necessary physical condition to keep up with this pace. We thank you for your understanding.

      Istria Highlights:
Requirements Bike Level 1 – 2: Easy to medium cycle tours through hilly terrain for island hoppers with a good basic level of fitness (20 – 60 km and 200 – 1000 m elevation gain per day). Many of the roads used are asphalted. However, 30% of the route is also on forest and gravel paths. This tour is primarily designed as a guided group tour. After prior consultation with our tour guides and selection of a suitable route, nothing stands in the way of individual cycling. During the daily program briefings, your tour guides will explain everything you need to know about the next day’s stage. If you prefer to cycle alone rather than with a group, you can cycle the tours independently and at your own pace. For orientation, we provide you with access to the free RideWithGPS route app for your smartphone, a detailed cycle map and GPS tracks. Your guides cycle the same route as you. They are therefore close by and can be contacted by phone in case of emergencies, problems, or questions. Instead of a bike tour, you can also opt for a half or full day of swimming on the boat.
Guided group pace: On our regular cycling tours, the cyclists on regular bicycles determine the pace. We ask guests who have reserved an e-bike to be mindful of this and to acknowledge that the regular cyclists need time to rest and take longer to climb the hills. We thank you for your understanding.
We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience can master the cycle tours to their strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1.20 m (4 ft.) for hybrid bicycles and 1.50 m (4.5 ft.) for e-bikes. There is a helmet law for all children up to age 16 in Croatia. When travelling with children, we recommend our Multi-Adventure Tours in Greece and Croatia, which are specifically curated for families and offer family-friendly pricing.

    Deluxe Kvarner Bay E-Bike Cruise

Note: This is primarily an E-Bike Tour

Note: See here for alternative Bike and Boat tours on MTBike or Hybrid Bike in the Kvarner Bay, Croatia.

Guarded by the towering Velebit mountain range in the east and hugged by the Istria Peninsula in the northwest, the Kvarner bay islands are. Quiet coves of crystal clear water surround the dramatic landscapes of the Kvaner bay islands; green hills and rocky moon landscapes give way to small harbour towns rich in history and culture. Discover the charm of the Adriatic Sea for yourself by bike and aboard Anđela Lora, one of our romantic motor yachts.

  •

    • Day 1 Friday: Omišalj embarkation – Cres

Individual arrival in Omišalj, a nice little harbor village on the island of Krk. If you’re planning to arrive by car, we will organize a safe parking space for you. Check in on the motor yacht between 2 and 2:30 pm. At approximately 3 pm, the ship takes us to the island of Cres in about four hours. On Cres, we take a walk through the Venetian old town in the evening.
    • Day 2: Islands of Cres and Lošinj – 18 miles/28 km

After breakfast, we start our tour from the city of Cres to Martinšćica. The boat awaits your arrival. Lunch is served during the cruise to the island of Lošinj. If the weather is good, the captain will arrange a swim stop along the way before tying off in the harbor, the wellness town of Mali Lošinj. The port with its colourful facades and numerous cafes offers its visitors a welcoming atmosphere for a relaxed evening.
    • Day 3: Islands of Lošinj and Molat – 12 + 6 miles/20 + 10 km

We cycle along the seaside promenade to the south of Lošinj and visit the picturesque small harbor town of Veli Lošinj before we meet the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, we cross over to the island of Molat, where we can do another short cycling tour. Finally, we stay overnight in a quiet harbor of Molat Island.
    • Day 4: Island of Dugi Otok – Zadar – 29 miles/48 km

During breakfast, the ship leaves Molat and takes us past many small islands to the “spice island” of Dugi Otok. Our bike tour starts in the bay of Božava, which is surrounded by pine woods, agaves and tamarisk trees. We ride on a road almost free of traffic. Our ride along the island takes us to a beautiful old Austrian lighthouse of Veli Rat. From there, we will continue our ride along the island ridge with some beautiful views on the surrounding island landscapes to the bay of Savar, where the boat awaits us for a sail to Zadar, which, for centuries, was the political, cultural and spiritual centre of Dalmatia. 3000 years of history have left their imprint on the character of this town, where there are many things to be admired. In the evening, our tour guide takes us on an extensive walk through the lively city centre.
    • Day 5: Island of Pag – Rab – 12 miles/20 km

After a long crossing in the morning, we reach the island of Pag. In the harsh but delightful landscape of the island, we come across many fig and olive trees. Over the centuries, the inhabitants have built numerous stone walls for protection against the wind. Starting from Novalja, we cycle on the narrow peninsula until we reach the sea, from where the ship takes us to Rab. The island of Rab is one of the sunniest places in Europe. The town of Rab, the fortified capital of the island, was built in the Middle Ages on a wedge-shaped headland and marks one of the highlights of the trip.
    • Day 6: Island of Rab – 15 miles/25 km

Get to know the charming island of Rab on a lovely ride around the island. At lunchtime, the ship awaits us in the harbor directly in front of the old town of Rab. We cruise to Jablanac near the picturesque Zavratnica fjord. Later on, the ship takes us over to the neighboring island of Krk, where we spend the evening in the historical town of Krk.
    • Day 7: Island of Krk – 28 miles/45 km

We cycle over the ridge of the island, which is covered by fragrant macchia, to a valley of vineyards and then onwards to the small museum town of Vrbnik in the northeast. The town built on a 50-meter-high cliff and surrounded by vineyards is the home of the famous white wine Zlahtina. Another peculiarity that Vrbnik has to offer is the second narrowest alley in the world. The way leads us across the island through old villages and rich vegetation to Omišalj. On our way, we have a chance to swim in the bay of Soline. A cheerful evening meal on board gives you time to celebrate the past week with our travellers and tour guides.
    • Day 8 Friday: Omišalj disembarkation – End of tour or extended stay

Kvarner Bay on E-Bike/MTB/Hybrid-Bike and Boat

Note: occasionally this tour takes place parallel to our MTBTour on the same boat. This is perfect for travelers who wish to spend their holiday together, but do not share the same riding preference.

This itinerary is offered in the following three ways:
The E-Bike – Deluxe Tour with top-quality accommodation.
The Hybrid-Bike & Boat (this one) tour with option to upgrade to E-Bike.
The MTBike & Boat tour which will follow their own guide in a separate group from the Hybrid or E-Bikers.
See under “2025” for further details.

Protected by the towering Velebit mountain range in the east and embraced by the Istria Peninsula in the northwest lie the Kvarner Bay islands. Quiet coves with crystal clear water surround the dramatic landscapes of the Kvaner Bay. Green hills and rocky moon landscapes give way to small harbour towns rich in both history and culture. Discover the charm of the Adriatic Sea by bike and boat on board one of our charming motor yachts. Be it the medieval city of Rab, the car-free road in the sky on Dugi Otok or the contemplative life of the dwellers on the flower island of Molat, each day brings with it something new to discover. Evenings are mostly spent in picturesque harbour towns with winding alleyways where a great range of bars and cafes provide the perfect spot for a relaxing evening.

  •

Day 1: Omišalj – Island of Cres

Individual arrival in Omišalj, a nice little harbor village on the island of Krk. If you’re planning to arrive by car, we will organize a safe parking space for you. Check-in on the motor yacht between 2 and 2:30 pm. At ca. 3 pm the ship takes us to the island of Cres in about four hours. On Cres we take a walk through the Venetian old town in the evening

Day 2: The Islands of Cres and Lošinj – 28 km / 18 miles

In the morning our ship will take us to Martinscica. From there, we will cycle on the east side of the island among pine, fig and laurel trees to Osor, the artist town, where we will have lunch on the ship. Afterwards there will be time for a swim in the bay with crystal clear water. In the afternoon, we’ll leave Osor, crossing over a swing bridge to reach the island of Lošinj. After a comfortable cruise and a refreshing swim stop the ship brings us safely into the large harbor of Mali Lošinj. The clear climate of this wellness retreat with its colorful captain’s houses and an abundance of cafes welcomes us for a relaxing evening, enabling us to unwind and recuperate.

Day 3: The Islands of Losinj and Molat – 30 km / 18 miles

Along the seaside walk you cycle to the south of Losinj where you will meet the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, we cross over to the island of Molat where you will do one more short bicycling tour. Overnight stay in the quiet harbour of Molat.

Day 4: The Island of Dugi Otok – 32 km / 20 miles

During breakfast the ship leaves and takes us past many small islands to the “spice island” of Dugi Otok. Our bike tour starts in the bay of Božava which is surrounded by pine woods, agaves and tamarisk trees, and we ride on a road almost free of traffic . Our tour leads us at first to the northern most point of the island where the light house of Veli Rat stands proudly since 1849 fulfilling its duty in guiding sailors safely on their way. A bicycle ride along the islands “Road in the Sky” brings us to the peaceful harbor of Savar. The boat awaits us here with a replenishing midday meal and we start our cruise in the direction of the island of Pag. The longer crossing offers us a great opportunity to take a lengthy and refreshing swim stop on anchor.

    Day 5: The Island of Pag – Rab – 34 km / 21 miles

After a cruise until lunchtime, you will reach the island of Pag. In the harsh but delightful landscape of the island you will come across many fig and olive trees. Over the centuries the inhabitants have built numerous stonewalls for protection against the wind. You will bike on the narrow peninsula until you reach the sea, where the ship will be waiting to take you to Rab. The island of Rab is one of the sunniest places in Europe. The town of Rab, the fortified capital of the island, was built in the middle ages on a wedge-shaped headland, and marks one of the highlights of the trip. The four famous bell towers are the symbol of the adorned beauty of the town. After dinner you can explore the narrow alleys with numerous cosy cafés.

Day 6: The Islands of Rab and Krk – 25 km / 15 miles

You will bike along the coast to the east side of the island, an area with virtually no vegetation, whose rough and cliffy rocks remind of a lunar landscape. The road will lead you on to a bay with a sandy beach, which is rather atypical for the Kvarner islands. At lunchtime, the ship will be waiting for you in the harbour directly in front of the old town of Rab. Afterwards, you will be cycling on the green peninsula to the north of the island. In Lopar, you will meet your ship again. After a swim-break the ship will take you over to the neighbouring island of Krk where you will spend the evening in the historical town of Krk.

    Day 7: The Island of Krk – 45 km / 28 miles

We cycle over the ridge of the island which is covered by fragrant macchia to a valley of vineyards and then onwards to the small museum town of Vrbnik in the northeast. On our way we have a chance to swim in the bay of Soline. The last evening aboard takes place traditionally and includes the communal dinner and a last get-together in a cosy atmosphere with crew and tour guides.

Day 8: Omišalj – End of bike and boat tour or extension

The guests are asked to check out after breakfast, i.e. by 9 am.

    Difficulty level
    • Requirement to wear a helmet: Helmets are mandatory on our bike tours. It is advised to bring your own, well fitted, helmet with you as our rental helmet numbers are limited (reservation required).
    • Guided group pace: On our regular cycling tours, the cyclists on regular bicycles determine the pace. We ask guests who have reserved an e-bike to be mindful of this and to acknowledge that the regular cyclists need time to rest and take longer to climb the hills. We thank you for your understanding.
    • Level 2 – 3: The cycling routes require a basic level of fitness, which you should have acquired through regular cycling. The routes can reach an altitude of 1312 – 2296 Ft. / 400 to 700 meters. The daily routes of around 18 – 27 mi. / 30 – 45 km will take us up through hilly and mountainous terrain and can be completed without time constraints. You will also come across some longer and rather steep climbs, where walking your bike is of course permitted. Upon consultation with your tour guides, it may be possible for you to cycle on your own along suitable, recommended routes. It is also possible to remain on board the boat. They are therefore close by and can be contacted by phone in case of emergencies, problems or questions. Instead of a bike tour, you can also opt for a half or full day of swimming on the boat.

We cycle the islands of Mljet, Lastovo, Korčula, Hvar and Brač and experience the interaction of sea and land, culture and nature close up and personally.

Our proud motor yacht Romantica is your home for an amazing week. The direction of this tour alternates each week.

Note: Dubrovnik to Split OR Split to Dubrovnik, too.

Day 1: Split – Boarding, Split Harbor – Individual arrival

Individual journey to Dubrovnik. Check-in on board starts between 2 and 2.30 pm at Gruž, the town port. At about 4.30 pm, a guided tour through Dubrovnik is offered, where we hear some interesting details of the town’s history and visit the most impressive sites. The boat will spend the night in Gruž, providing the opportunity to experience Dubrovnik’s nightlife.

    Day 2: Dubrovnik – Island Šipan – Island Mljet – 7 miles/11 km + 18 miles/30 km

In the morning, we cross over to the nearby island of Šipan. Šipan is the largest of the Elaphiti Islands, yet still humble in size. A great place for our first bike tour and to get used to riding in a group. After our first tour, we board the boat and enjoy a cruise to the green island of Mljet. Green because 70 % of its landmass is covered by woodland, making it the most forested island in the Mediterranean region. Homer mentioned this lovely island in his epic poem “The Odyssey”. He made it a home for the Nymph Calypso and the legendary Greek king Odysseus, who could not resist Calypso and stayed on Mljet for seven years. We arrive in the harbor of Pomena and enjoy a round tour on our bikes through the Mljet National Park. The night is spent in the harbor of Pomena.

Day 3: Islands Lastovo and Korčula: Korčula town – 17.5 miles/28 km

In the morning, our ship takes us to the Island of Lastovo. The island is one of the smaller inhabited islands in the Adriatic Sea. The Emperor Augustus appreciated the mild climate, and in Roman times it was even named “Augusta Insula” after him. Today’s cycle tour takes us across this beautiful island. The gold-coloured white wine “Marastina”, known even beyond Croatia’s borders, is grown here. Back at the boat, it’s time to cast off! A crossing takes us over to the island of Korčula, regarded as one of the most beautiful islands in Dalmatia. The Picturesque town of Korčula, with its fishbone alleyways, competes with Venice for the honor of being the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. It is here that we spend the night and enjoy a guided city tour packed with fascinating anecdotes concerning the history of the city and the island.

Day 4: Korčula Island: Korčula town – Vela Luka – 37.5 miles/60 km

Today’s cycle tour leads us across the charming island of Korčula. A mild Mediterranean climate and a broad variety of different landscapes accompany us on the tour today. Take your time, and remember to take a break to enjoy the view over the deep blue sea and neighboring islands. Dinner is served on board to replenish our strength after an active day. Overnight stay in the sheltered by of Vela Luka.

Day 5: Island Hvar: Hvar Town – Stari Grad 13 miles/22 km

The day starts with a relaxing cruise to Hvar town on Hvar Island. Make use of the time before the cycle tour starts and go for a little stroll through the city. Standing on the magnificent Renaissance Square, you can enjoy a view up to the Spanish fortress towering high above the city. Today’s bike tour takes us from the city of Hvar through small villages and lavender fields to Stari Grad on the opposite side of the island. The descent to Stari Grad offers breathtaking views and we board the boat for lunch. The afternoon can be used to explore the artistic seaside town and to visit the local galleries or museums. The night is spent in Stari Grad.

Day 6: Hvar Island: Stari Grad – Jelsa – Stari Grad – Island Brač 13 miles/22km

In the morning, we start on a scenic bike tour from Stari Grad to the harbor of Jelsa and back. Jelsa is the perfect place for some ice cream and a coffee and on the way back to the boat, we pass through the picturesque town of Vrboska and cycle through the ancient Greek plains, which are now a protected UNESCO heritage site. On arrival in Stari Grad, we board the boat for lunch and cruise to the island of Brač. The Island is famous for its radiant, precious limestone that was, among others, used for the White House in Washington and in the construction of the German Reichstag building in Berlin. During the cruise, we can stop for a refreshing swim directly from the boat before arriving in the harbor town of Milna. We will spend the afternoon and evening here.

Day 7: Island Brač: Milna – Postira 18 miles/29 km

Today’s bike tour leads us along the northern coastline of Brač from Milna to Postira with beautiful views across the Dalmatian Islands and across to the mainland. Then, for the last time in an eventful week, we enjoy the cruise to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Split. A guided city tour offers us the chance to see inside the former Palace of Emperor Diocletian and to learn about its transformation into the city that it has become. A cheerful evening meal on board the boat gives you time to celebrate the success of the week with fellow travelers and tour guides.

Day 8: Dubrovnik – End of the bike and boat tour or extension

After breakfast, we disembark before 9 am. Individual transport to the airport or extended stay in Croatia.
