Travel insurance is highly recommended for all bike tours, whether you’re cycling through Spain, exploring Europe, or riding in international destinations. It provides protection against unexpected events, helping you enjoy your trip with confidence — whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or as a family.
Key Coverage for Bike Tours
- Medical Emergencies Abroad – hospital care, doctor visits, and urgent treatment.
- Trip Cancellation or Interruption – reimbursement if you need to cancel or cut short your tour for covered reasons.
- Lost or Delayed Luggage – including personal belongings and cycling equipment.
- Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation – transport to a medical facility or back home if needed.
Types of Travel Insurance
Policies vary, but most include combinations of:
- Basic Coverage – essential medical and evacuation protection.
- Comprehensive Coverage – adds trip cancellation, baggage protection, and travel delays.
- Sports / Cycling Add-ons – covers cycling activities, off-road riding, and specialized equipment.
Travel with Confidence
At Bravo Bike, we highly recommend securing travel insurance for all riders. You can arrange a policy through us, including cancellation and medical coverage, so you and your group can enjoy your bike tour safely. Insurance is not included in the tour price, but it ensures peace of mind for every ride.
Hire your insurance quickly, efficiently and comfortably through the website Intermundial.
Bravo Bike advises that all our tours allow for taking out a travel insurance policy with basic coverage or cancellation insurance. Accepting this insurance policy implies that the client has acknowledged and accepted the clauses of the policy.
The policy must be contracted and paid for simultaneously with the booking request.
Approximate premiums per person (trip to and from not included):
- Basic one-day coverage within Spain: from 5 Euros
- Cancellation coverage in Europe: from approximately 4% of the total trip price
- Multi-assistance coverage for up to 8 days: from 10 Euros
Bravo Bike is not responsible for any decisions made by the insurance company regarding claims submitted by the traveler and has no liability for such outcomes. The processing of claims against the insurance company is the sole responsibility of the client, and Bravo Bike remains entirely outside this process.
