ROUTE

The route crosses West Flanders from Roeselare through Ieper and Diksmuide before reaching Bruges, the cultural highlight of the journey. From Bruges, the cycling continues towards the Belgian coast, with rides through Knokke, Het Zwin and De Haan, before returning inland to Roeselare. Along the way, the landscape changes between quiet canals, open fields, polders, dunes and the coast, with castles, windmills, monasteries and historic towns adding cultural interest.

The journey offers a relaxed way to experience the region beyond its best-known sights, with time to explore historic towns, coastal villages and places connected to the First World War. The local atmosphere can be enjoyed in traditional pubs and restaurants, while Belgian favourites such as chocolate, waffles and French fries add another element to the experience.
