ROUTE

The route follows the Danube towards the delta, where cycling stages lead through a changing landscape of waterways, reed-covered areas, lakes and small settlements. Highlights along the journey include the historic town of Sulina, the remote Letea area and traditional fishing villages, with the route eventually reaching the Black Sea. The combination of different waterways and cycling sections creates a varied journey through one of Romania’s most distinctive regions.

With the boat connecting the different stages, you can explore more of the delta without having to retrace your route. The guided format adds route support and local insight, while cycling provides the opportunity to experience the smaller landscapes and settlements at a closer pace. The journey also offers opportunities to discover the local character of the region through its fishing traditions and regional cuisine.
