Description of the bike tour in Patagonia in Argentina

Day 1: Individual arrival in Calafate

Meeting in Calafate. Presentation dinner Overnight : Hotel

Day 2: Calafate – Glacier Perito Moreno

We make an excursion to Perito Moreno glacier . Navigation on Lake Argentino and trekking, optional. free dinner Night : same hotel the night before

Day 3: Cerro Castillo in Chile (130m)

Cycle along the Patagonian steppe , appreciating in the distance, some of the mystical mountains of Patagonia. We will make a transfer in the support vehicle to approach the Chilean border, cross our mountain bikes by the court Carrera step. Pedalling: 110 km ( Elevation gain : + 750 m) Overnight: Camping tent with possibility of sleeping in rooms. For the latter warn the time of booking

Day 4: Puerto Natales

Crossing a hilly area, we will reach the Pacific Ocean and the city of Puerto Natales. Pedalling : 65 km on asphalt. (Altitude: 300 mt approx.) Night: Cabins, with a privileged position just a few meters from the sea.

Day 5: Puerto Natales

Day with alternative excursions on its own or coordinated with the group account. Options: Torres del Paine , sailing through glaciers, ride or walk through the village National Park. Night: Same as the previous day.

Day 6: Punta Arenas

After heading to Villa Tehueche , we begin pedaling by a picturesque and hilly dirt road , heading to Rio Verde where we continue along the coasts of Skyring ( O. Pacific ) . At km 95 we reach the Strait of Magellan and will pass with some sea views , to reach Punta Arenas . Pedalling: 112 km (49 km asphalt ) ( Slope: . 500 mt ) Night: Hostería.

Day 7: Useless Bay (estancia Santa Teresita)

Boat after crossing the Strait of Magellan (2h 40 min) arrived at Porvenir in Tierra del Fuego and continue cycling along the strait with a spectacular panorama. Overnight at Estancia Sta.Teresita. Given the possibility of sleeping in a shelter or camping gauchos. Pedalling: 70 km by dirt road, gravel road. (Elevation gain : +700 ) Night : Store or shelter

Day 8: Russfin – Argentina

We continue along the Useless Bay and have the opportunity to visit a colony of King Penguins ( km 45 ) . After Cameron ( km 80 ) , we head inland , passing through forests of beech and appreciating distant , snowy mountains. We will stay at the inn Russfin sawmill. Pedalling: 120 km by gravel road (Altitude: 750 mt.) Night: Hostería

Day 9: Rio Grande-Argentina

Serpentine path , allowing us to see the interior of this island , reaching the Atlantic O. . At km 60 , we go into the land Argentina , crossing the Rio Bellavista. We will have a short transfer (16km ) to access Rio Grande. Free dinner (by each participant) Pedalling : 130 km gravel road) (Slope: 980 mt.) Night: Hotel

Day 10: Tolhuin (lakes : Yehuin , Cheepelmuth and Fagnano )

In the first part of this stage we will close the O. Atlantic and then inland toward the lenga forests until reaching the vast lake Fagnano. Pedalling: 114 km asphalt) (Elevation + 450 mt.) Overnight: Camping lake shore Fagnano (shop) with possibility of sleeping in rooms

Day 11: Ushuaia

Step climb Garibaldi (450m) and appreciate Tierra del Fuego from one of the most beautiful steps. After a descent and a hilly stretch, we arrive to Ushuaia final goal of the trip. Farewell dinner. Pedalling: 104 km of asphalt. (Elevation + 1030 mt) Night: Apart hotel

Day 12: Tour to Lapataia (Optional)

It is advisable to visit the Lapataia Bay within Tierra del Fuego National Park and perhaps an excursion, sailing through the Beagle Channel. Night : Apart hotel

Day 13: Ushuaia

Breakfast and end of our services.
