GENERAL CONDITIONS WITHIN SPAIN FOR ONE WEEK BIKE TOURS:

If, for some unfortunate reason, you find you have to cancel your Bravo Bike trip, refunds will be made based on the number of days that we receive written notice of your cancellation prior to departure:

Besides, we can charge all justified costs or administrative expenses due to this cancellation. Cancellation fee is EURO 55.- per person.

Nevertheless, we are able to offer you a travel insurance which covers these expenses in case of serious illness or accident or death or serious damages to the home or business premises.

SWITCHING TRIPS

Once you’ve booked a trip, you may choose a different departure date if we have openings. In such case, we will charge only the justified expenses due to the cancellation of your booked trip.

Which are the Bravo Bike limitations of liability?

Bravo Bike is not liable for bodily injury or property damage as a result of (but not limited to): physical exertion for which a guest is not prepared; forces of nature; travel by plane, train, auto, boat or other conveyance, or by bicycle, foot or other form of active or adventure travel; consumption of alcoholic beverages; civil unrest; terrorism; breakdown of equipment; high altitude; lack of or limited access to medical attention in remote locations; and the adequacy of medical attention once provided. Bravo Bike is also not liable for: expenses (e.g., meals, transportation or hotel costs) that are not specified as included in the trip cost but may be required to get to or from a trip start or end. Bravo Bike reserves the right to make route and hotel modifications as necessary to improve the quality of a trip or to accommodate the comfort and well-being of guests. Guests grant Bravo Bike express permission to take photographs or film records of its trips for promotional and commercial use, without remuneration.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OUTSIDE SPAIN FOR ONE WEEK BIKE TOURS:

Cancellations and changes in reservations These terms and conditions, which you agree to by booking your trip, govern the contractual relationship between you as a traveller and ourselves as a tour operator. Please read all the following terms and conditions carefully.

If the minimum required number of persons for any tour is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel it. This decision will be made as soon as possible, at least two weeks prior to the starting date. In such a case all payments will be fully refunded and no claims against us will be accepted. As a tour operator and travel agent, we have the right to cancel if the trip is jeopardized, made difficult or impaired due to an act of nature.

Your cancellations will be valid as soon as a written notification (by email or regular mail) reaches our office. Should your cancellation, before the 60th day prior to the start had been paid, the whole amount minus a cancellation fee of Euro 50 per person will be refunded. Our cancellation fees are: -60 days or more before the departure date: 10% of the invoice -59 to 31 days before the departure date: 30% of the invoice -30 to 21 days before the departure date: 50% of the invoice -20 to 11 days before the departure date: 70% of the invoice -10 to 1 days before the departure date: 90% of the invoice “No shows” or cancelling on the same day of departure: Full amount of invoice. If you are prevented from travelling due to loss of documents or incomplete documents, this will also be considered as a cancellation.

To avoid any of these problems we recommend buying insurance at the moment the trip is requested

Changes:

Any change will be regarded in the same way as a cancellation. Any change in your reservation will have a charge of 55 euros if this is done 28 days or more before the trip is started. Any other changes after these 28 days will be considered as a cancellation and the rates mentioned above will be applied and the new changes considered as a new reservation. Fees arising as a result of either of the two aforementioned events will have to be paid immediately.

Travel Contract

In addition to the cancellation charges referenced in the relevant section, and regardless of the date in which the cancellation of the trip is made, the client is required to pay the following fees:

    1. advance payments imposed by the country of destination
    1. The amounts relating to processing fees

Receipt of the Reservation form, duly completed, will be considered as having entered into the terms of the contract

As our partners are in different parts of the world and each have different cancellation conditions, these will have to depend on their own.

Payments:

A deposit is due after the reservations have been made. Should this deposit have not been paid within the first week of the agreement between the two parts, the travel contract will be nullified. The rest of the payment is due four weeks before the start of the trip.

Registration and bookings:

Any registration for any trip will be confirmed in writing, by fax, internet or by phone. It will then be considered as a binding travel contract which will be finalised with our written confirmation. If any other participant is added to a trip that has already been confirmed, the additional participants will be bound by that contract and will have the same responsibilities of all the participants who signed up prior to the new participant(s).

Payment Conditions:

Once an advance payment of 40% of the total amount of the trip has been received, the registration and reservation will be considered definitive. If this is not fulfilled, the travel agency has the right to annul the contract. Payment for the balance of the total cost of the trip must be effected by 40 days prior to the start of the trip.

If the request for a reservation is made less than 41 days prior to the departure date, the entire amount for the trip shall be paid as a precondition for the reservation. This can be effected in any of the following ways:

    1. In cash or directly at our offices
    1. Bank Transfer: In order to effect the transfer, we require that you include the reference number of the trip, or the invoice number. Bravo Bike will provide you with this number. This number has always to be included at the time of making the first and any subsequent transfer which refer to the reservation request. We further require you to include the name and surname of the person(s) who is/are undertaking the trip.
    1. As credit cards, we accept VISA or MasterCard. CC payments with Visa or Mastercard have an additional increase of 2%. We do accept American Express or Diners Club cards.

Cost Estimates for Trips:

Once a cost estimate for a prospective trip has been provided, this will remain valid for a period of 15 days. In the event that a specially-tailored estimate is provided, a charge of 30 Euros will be made for parties of 10 participants, and 20 Euros for a larger number of participants. If the estimate is accepted for a definitive trip, these charges will not be applied.

Liabilities:

Bravo Bike declares that the characteristics of its tours and their degree of difficulty are accepted by the client, and that these involve and require a physical and sporting effort on the part of the client. In consequence, the client absolves Bravo Bike from any liability arising from side effects which this physical effort a sportive energy may require from the client. Thus, the client assumes his own liability in respect of his physical condition and the limitations which this could cause. In any event, Bravo Bike will not assume the liability for, nor will accept for inclusion in its tours, persons who have physical handicaps and abnormal health conditions, who have been advised by doctors and other medical experts against undertaking the trip.In completing the reservation application, the client is required to indicate any medical or general health deficiencies.

In registering for and contracting our services, the client accepts the characteristics of the cycling route, which if it is to be accompanied by a guide, accepts at all times to follow the instructions of the guide.

For reasons of safety, Bravo Bike may change the itinerary of any tour, or the timing of the same if the meteorological conditions make it necessary, or the physical aptitudes of any participant in the trip are not in conformity with the declarations in the registration application. In the organisation of any of the tour’s activities, the client commits to not being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicants, as well as any other medicaments which could compromise his or her stability, reflexes, or which could in any form impact his or her physical capacities.

The client declares that he or she does not suffer from any cardiovascular illnesses, not being in a state of pregnancy, or suffer from any other condition which would prevent him from performing the activities without exposing his health condition to risks. In the event that the client is required to wear artificial limbs, spectacles or contact lenses, he assumes any damage to the same which could be caused by the normal development of activities. The client is informed that he is contracting a service which involves activities of risk, and assumes responsibility for any incidents which could occur in the course of these. Carrying out these activities is subject to climactic conditions. For any journey or activity the client accepts the possibility that it may not be possible to carry out the same, and renounces the right, as an unforeseen event, to request monetary reimbursement for this eventuality. In the event that the tour or the activity includes a bicycle which is not the client’s property, the client is responsible for damages and breakages sustained by the bicycle, and also if it is ascertained that there has been a misuse of any of the accessories. Further the client is responsible for the safekeeping of the bicycle assigned during the entire trip or activity. If the activity or trip is undertaken with a bicycle owned by the client, Bravo Bike will not be liable for damages or breakdowns which might occur during the trip, nor for the robbery or safekeeping of the same, nor for the loss of any means of transport used by the client to forward said bicycle. Insurance companies will not insure against the risk of bicycle robbery.

In accordance with Articles 16 and 18 of the decree 168/94 of the regulation of Travel Agencies, the payment of commissions resulting from intermediation operations in the case of amendments or changes are authorised as € 6 for changes and € 12 for cancellations.

Documents:

Delivery of documents will be made in person at our office, or by electronic mail. Any forwarding of documents by messenger services will paid by the person receiving the documents. The delivery of any documents by regular mail will incur an additional cost of 18 Euros.

Insurance:

Bravo Bike advises that all our tours allow for taking out a travel insurance policy with basic coverage, or against cancellation.Accepting this insurance policy will imply that the client has acknowledged and accepted the clauses of the policy. The policy has to be contracted and paid for simultaneously with the application for a reservation. Approximate Premiums per person (trip to and from not included): Basic one-day coverage within Spain: 5 Euros Cancellation coverage in Europe as from 4% of the total price of the trip Multi-assistance coverage for up to 8 days: from: 10 Euros Bravo Bike is removed from any resolutions determined by the insurance company in respect of claims declared on behalf of the traveller, and has no liability for any such responses. The processing of claims against the insurance company is the sole responsibility of the client and Bravo Bike will remain entirely at the periphery of this process.

Bravo Bike informs its clients of the email address: https://www.mae.es, as a useful source of information regarding the social or political conditions which prevail in any selected country of destination. official recommendations of the Spanish Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs can be found on this address. The client agrees to inform himself at his own responsibility, and accepts the risk which this entails, but nevertheless discharges Bravo Bike from any liability for negative consequences which may arise from such circumstance.

Inoculations:

Extensive information can be obtained from the Ministry of Health on any inoculations necessary in advance of the journey.
